F1 is Back: Buckle Up, It’s About to Get Spicy!

The wait is over—Formula 1 is finally back this weekend, and the excitement is through the roof. After months of speculation, car reveals, and pre-season testing, the real action is about to begin. As always, the start of a new season brings plenty of intrigue, drama, and the potential for surprises. For us at Engsta Rides, there are a few key storylines that we’ll be keeping a close eye on as the lights go out for the first race.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull: Can They Keep Dominating?

There’s no question that my favorite driver, Max Verstappen, has been the man to beat over the last few seasons. His dominance with Red Bull has been nothing short of spectacular, but with every new season comes fresh challenges. The question is: Can Red Bull maintain their supremacy, or will the competition finally catch up?

With changes in regulations and teams pushing the limits in development, it’ll be interesting to see if Verstappen can continue his reign or if the pack behind him has closed the gap. One thing’s for sure—Max won’t back down from a fight. Another interesting dynamic to watch will be how Liam Lawson performs now that he has replaced Sergio Perez at Red Bull. With the pressure of driving for a top team, Lawson will have to prove he can consistently deliver strong results alongside Verstappen.

Leclerc and Hamilton: A New Dynamic at Ferrari

One of the biggest talking points of the off-season has been Lewis Hamilton’s shocking move to Ferrari. The seven-time world champion joins Charles Leclerc in what promises to be a fascinating teammate battle. I’m especially eager to see how Leclerc handles the pressure of having such a high-caliber teammate. Will he rise to the occasion and establish himself as Ferrari’s clear number one, or will Hamilton’s experience and race craft give him the upper hand?

Ferrari has shown flashes of brilliance in the past few years, but consistency has been their Achilles’ heel. If they’ve finally ironed out their weaknesses, we could be in for a serious title challenge from the Prancing Horse.

Lando Norris: Is This His Year to Shine?

Another driver I’m keeping a close eye on is Lando Norris. The McLaren star has been knocking on the door of greatness, but 2025 might just be the year he takes the next big step. McLaren made huge strides in the second half of last season, and if they’ve continued that upward trajectory, Norris could be a real threat at the front.

The big question is whether McLaren has given him a car capable of fighting for wins regularly. If they have, expect Norris to make a serious statement this year. However, he won't have it easy, as his teammate Oscar Piastri has proven to be a fierce competitor. The internal battle at McLaren could be one of the most exciting dynamics of the season, with both drivers eager to assert dominance and push the team forward.

Formula 1 is always unpredictable, and that’s what makes it so thrilling. With new driver lineups, evolving team strategies, and potential shakeups in the pecking order, 2025 is shaping up to be a season full of drama.
